Bill & Jean

Lyrics by Cory Smith, music by Michael Jackson (Billie Jean)

She looked just like a beauty queen from a movie scene

And he looked fairly pristine in that old photograph

That arrived - in the mail - straight from Spain.

Yes an old photograph

Sent to me - by my Great - Aunt Laraine

My aunt said their names were Bill and Jean, they were just eighteen

When Billy gave her a ring and she gave him her heart

But just wait - till you hear - this next part.

Billy loved Jeanie until his dying day

And on that day he told her something new

He held her in his arms, and whispered in her ear

He said somehow he knew, their story wasn't through.  Hey, hey, hey

Bill and Jean were my ancestors

I've got this feeling, maybe I am the one

To see their work gets done

Maybe I am the one

I'm their great great great great great grandson

For forty days and for forty nights, they were on my mind

But I could never find time to fit them in the mix

Cause there's just - so much stuff - on Netflix

Though my couch felt quite nice

I had slight pangs of guilt once or twice

(once or twice, once or twice)

Then one day while cleaning out a trunk, that was full of junk

I found Bill and Jean's photo be-hind some old bills

Now this next - part might give - you the chills

See the faces in the photo, were starin' back at me

And when I looked into their eyes

They sent a simple message, I felt it in my heart

"Hey don't you realize, we need to be baptized?" oooh, hoo, hoo

Bill and Jean were my ancestors

I've got this feeling maybe I am the one

To see their work gets done

Bill and Jean were my ancestors

I've got this feeling maybe I am the one

To see their work gets done

Maybe I am the one

I'm their great great great great great grandson
